Our Story

At the core of White Feather Designs is our culinary journey, sparked by the desire to elevate the flavours of smoked meats. It all began when our aunt's garden yielded an abundance of beetroot, inspiring the creation of our signature smoked beetroot relish—a unique and delectable revelation. As our passion deepened, we expanded our repertoire to include smoked tomatoes and garlic, a festive favourite during Christmas and a year-round delight for friends and family. Recognised and encouraged by a local producer in our coastal community, we embarked on a dedicated pursuit, putting flavour and quality front and centre. White Feather Designs transformed from a simple passion project into a flourishing enterprise. We carefully handcraft our relishes, jams, and chutneys that not only tantalise taste buds but also tell the flavourful story of our journey. Join us in savouring the essence of our origins and exploring the limitless possibilities of flavour that continue to inspire us today.

Why White Feather?

White feathers hold a unique and universal significance across many cultures and beliefs. Often regarded as messages from the spiritual realm, these delicate plumes have the power to appear in moments of need and during life's pivotal turning points, like those "sliding door" moments. In my personal journey, I've discovered white feathers during significant life events that provided invaluable support, comfort, and clarity. These ethereal symbols have often appeared just when I needed them most, reassuring me that loved ones who have passed on are watching over, and guiding, me on my life's journey. White feathers symbolize purity, fresh starts, and the encouragement to let go of past burdens. They invite us to seek inner peace and a sense of renewal, serving as reminders to embrace new beginnings. Whether found in moments of profound need or during those critical junctures in life, white feathers continue to carry profound significance, inspiring us to connect with the deeper aspects of our lives and the world around us.
